Backstory: Since moving to Chicago I’ve found myself in the park almost daily. I love going for walks by the pond, and sitting at my favorite bench under the trees. It’s a place where I can tune out the city, and just take a breath. It’s where I find balance and feel most centered. With summer coming to a close, I wanted to draw something that could channel that feeling all year long. I love the vibrant purple color of these coneflowers and how summery they feel. Now I can look at them year round and be reminded to slow down, take a breath, and stay centered.
