Good Partners

A new initiative for community partnership.

Kohl’s has launched a new collection of products called, “Good Partners.” These products are made with traditional methods such as hand weaving, hand painted, or hand crafted. The goods are made by a factory in India that not only supports these traditional methods, but also supports hiring women and giving back to the community where they were made.

Corporation: Kohl’s

Role: Art Director

When our product development team came to our brand design team with this idea to create a line that not only supports Women, but community as well, I got excited. With more and more people caring about the quality and dignity of products, this initiative gave Kohl’s a chance to show consumers that they also care.

Logo / Packaging

When thinking about the right look and feel for the logo, I wanted to capture the friendliness and easy feeling that the products stand for. I went with the font Gotham, since it’s known to be a little bit of a softer san serif, but also feels clean and modern. The hand with the heart represents our partnerships and the love that goes into each product.

Fun fact, I drew the hand based on my own to give it a more casual feeling than your average stock icon you’d find online.

The grey & blue color palette was chosen to evoke a sense of calm and comfort.

You can find the Good Partners products in Kohl’s stores across the nation! The products will live within brands such as Sonoma, Food Network, and Celebrate together. By not making Good Partners it’s own brand, we were able to ensure that all of your favorite brands stayed the same look, just executed slightly different.
